Liam McCormick

Liam grew up in Glace Bay, Cape Breton, and graduated from Glace Bay High School in 2004. After high school, he attended St. Francis Xavier University and completed a degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Health Science in 2008. Liam then traveled to Scotland and completed his Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from Robert Gordon University in 2012. He then worked throughout the United Kingdom and completed a post-graduate diploma in Musculoskeletal Medicine from Middlesex University. Liam returned home to Cape Breton in 2014 and has worked in a variety of different settings including critical care physiotherapist in an intensive care unit, neuro-physiotherapist, outpatient physiotherapy as well as private practice.

Over the past 6 years, Liam has continued his education through ongoing post-graduate courses including: Advanced Manual Therapy, Biomechanical Dry-needling, Orthotics, Pharmacology, Athletic Taping, and Kinesio-taping. Having traveled and work in a number of regions across the world Liam has come to appreciate his hometown and island. In his spare time, Liam enjoys time with friends, competing in the occasional Crossfit event, playing recreational golf, and squash.
