Lorraine Teasdale, Registered Dietician
With a background in kinesiology and athletic therapy, nutrition seemed like the perfect compliment. Finishing my degree and dietetic internship from St. Francis Xavier University I became a Registered Dietitian in Nova Scotia and went on to work in long-term care and private practice. I made the move to Sydney in the winter of 2017 and have fallen in love with its people and charm. I enjoy showing my clients the simplicity in healthy eating and helping them reach their personal goals in attainable ways that foster long-term results. I deeply understand the connection between nutrition, physical activity, and rehabilitation, and implement this post-injury, awaiting orthopedic surgery, and/or with chronic disease. I also am passionate about the way our food choices can impact sport performance for athletes and love tailoring nutritional strategies to individual needs to support this. Whether you are looking for counselling on achieving a healthy weight, chronic disease management, wanting to build strength, or improve athletic performance, I am here to help! I look forward to working with you and being a part of the team at Cabot Physiotherapy.
