Brian Howley

Brian grew up in Bras d’Or, Cape Breton. He attended Acadia University, graduating in 2003 with a Kinesiology Degree concentrated in Sports Rehabilitation. Brian continued his education at Dalhousie University completing a Physiotherapy Degree in 2006. Brian returned home to Cape Breton in 2007 and has worked in a variety of different settings including: primary physiotherapist for Cape Breton University Athletics, hospital inpatients & outpatients, as well as private practice.

Over the past 10 years, Brian has taken many post-graduate courses including: Advanced Manual Therapy, Shirley Sahrmann Movement Impairment Disorders, Biomechanical Dry-needling, Acupuncture, Concussion Management, Vestibular Rehabilitation, Temporomandibular Joint Disorders (TMD), Chronic Pain Management, Running Injuries, Athletic Taping and Kinesiotaping.

Brian is the co-owner of Cabot Physiotherapy and is passionate about providing excellent service and care to the community he grew up in – Cape Breton!

In his spare time, Brian enjoys time with his family and friends. Most of his time is spent with his wife, Melissa and their two children- Evan and Kate. If not at work or home, Brian can most likely be found in a hockey arena either coaching or cheering for Evan.
